After watching the commissioners’ interactions with the Board of Education last week, it became clear to one observer with experience that the motivation for Home Rule Governance is NOT "in response to the hopes and requests of Douglas County citizens".

Although we hope to defeat Home Rule implementation, there are candidates who can represent serious citizen concerns, and those who are employed by the county itself who have a vested interest.

A "white booklet" was sent out at county expense. Typically this information booklet shares both sides of an election issue. This one does not.
