Although we hope to defeat Home Rule implementation, there are candidates who can represent serious citizen concerns, and those who are employed by the county itself who have a vested interest.

A "white booklet" was sent out at county expense. Typically this information booklet shares both sides of an election issue. This one does not.

The proponents of Home Rule don't actually know what it enables. They can't decide whether it's 43 areas or 47, when the correct answer is 46.

An article in the Denver Post states "In recent years, the county south of Denver has engaged in a series of legal battles with the state over property tax valuations, state immigration laws, and the validity of public health orders. The county has filed lawsuits and issued declarations of dissent against Colorado’s Democratic leadership."
